Full academic year temporary faculty will teach a variety of courses. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended, or online in Big Rapids. A focus on student success, office hours, and use of current technology are expected. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses. Assistant Professor - Michigan College of Optometry - Primary Care Disease Emphasis – Ferris State University. Full-time 12-month tenure-track faculty position. The successful applicant will assume duties in patientcare and teaching in the clinic, classroom, and laboratories. The faculty member will be expected to develop in the areas of patient care, teaching/advising, scholarly/professional activities, and service. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include advising graduate professional students, participation in University and professional committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance. Provide independent office operational support for designated health care office in a manner that is compliant with HIPAA and other medical related policies and regulations. Responsible for completeness of patients’ medical records, and student records including the coordination and scheduling of student appointments, testing and medical referrals as assigned. Prepare and process insurance and patient billings. Duties may vary depending on which medical office employee is assigned and duties shown below may not be applicable to every employee in this classification. Adjunct Instructor 1 - Developmental Curriculum Multiple Locations
All potential dual or concurrent enrollment instructors must complete the Ferris application process to be considered to teach a Ferris course. The Developmental Curriculum department approves the credentials of dual and concurrent enrollment instructors teaching courses in their curriculum area. Selected instructors must meet the academic department’s requirements for teaching courses in their curriculum areas. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face-to-face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position varies by semester but generally would fall around May 14, 2024, August 26, 2024, or January 13, 2025. Teach undergraduate management courses in multiple delivery methods that may include face-to-face, on-line, and a hybrid/mixed delivery format. Candidates must be able to demonstrate teaching excellence. Electrical Supervisor– Ferris State University. Responsible for the 7200 volt distribution system. Supervise and coordinate work activities of the Electrical Department engaged in assembly, installation and repair of equipment related to electrical operations. Independently perform accounting-related activities related to the General Ledger of assigned fund groups and the University’s Financial Statements.
