Assistant Professor - Michigan College of Optometry - Primary Care Disease Emphasis – Ferris State University. Full-time 12-month tenure-track faculty position. The successful applicant will assume duties in patientcare and teaching in the clinic, classroom, and laboratories. Provide independent office operational support for designated health care office in a manner that is compliant with HIPAA and other medical related policies and regulations. Responsible for completeness of patients’ medical records, and student records including the coordination and scheduling of student appointments, testing and medical referrals as assigned. All potential dual or concurrent enrollment instructors must complete the Ferris application process to be considered to teach a Ferris course. The Developmental Curriculum department approves the credentials of dual and concurrent enrollment instructors teaching courses in their curriculum area. Selected instructors must meet the academic department’s requirements for teaching courses in their curriculum areas. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face-to-face and/or online instruction. Assistant Professor - Michigan College of Optometry - Primary Care Disease Emphasis – Ferris State University. Full-time 12-month tenure-track faculty position. The successful applicant will assume duties in patientcare and teaching in the clinic, classroom, and laboratories. The faculty member will be expected to develop in the areas of patient care, teaching/advising, scholarly/professional activities, and service. Provide independent office operational support for designated health care office in a manner that is compliant with HIPAA and other medical related policies and regulations. Responsible for completeness of patients’ medical records, and student records including the coordination and scheduling of student appointments, testing and medical referrals as assigned. The Developmental Curriculum department approves the credentials of dual and concurrent enrollment instructors teaching courses in their curriculum area.
